In 1935 Mr. Mc British, the founder of the Company, joined as one of top product designers into Micro Switch----a company then predominant in automatic control in U.S. Due to his excellent contribution to the exquisite development and design of the products, Micro Switch overshadowed its rivalries in terms of technology, products and services in sensoring and control, the automatic control and service. While Micro Switch reaped the amazing achievements in the industrial automatic control product market, Mr. Mc British, after several years of efforts, established his fame in the industry and many world-class industrial magnates including Honeywell attempted to attract him by preferential treatment. Among throngs of choices, Mr. Mc British made an important decision to sign cooperation agreement with Engineering School of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which served as a bridge between Massachusetts Institute of Technology and industrial circle. In 1948 .Floworld Co., Ltd was established, with the HQ at Houseton, an industrial hub of the U.S.

At the initial stage immediately after the establishment, Floworld concentrated on the production of all kinds of industrial flowmeters, together with some supporting sensoring equipment. After several years of market competition, Floworld finally decided to set electromagnetic flowmeter and vortex flowmeter as its core products. The early 1990s saw a shift to V- cone flowmeter, a newly emerging industrial flowmeter. In addition, the Company directed much attention to the integration of academy and manufacturing practice during the design and development of V-cone flowmeter. Thanks to its cooperation with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Floworld developed exquisite design and unique technological process for V-cone flowmeter, which were universally accepted by a number of academic circles (such as ASQ) in the U.S. In terms of product application, many Floworld customers gave their massive support. New V-cone flowmeter replaces the previous electromagnetic and vortex flowmeters and wins the general applauses with the stability, reliability and accurateness in measurement. At the initial stage of the development of V-cone flowmeter, all staff at Floworld was devoted to innovating the new product in the industry, which laid a solid for product development. When V-cone flowmeter was on high profile, Floworld embraced the unlimited development opportunities. The Company gradually achieved a successful transition from a marketing-oriented company that undertook production and sales by itself, to a professional flowmeter manufacturer that concentrated on production and design, taking marketing and service as the secondary objectives.
